The European Commission, DG XXIV, has published an invitation to tender relating to research efforts towards the development and validation of a test method for the identification of genetically-modified maize and soya in food and food ingredients. The objectives of the contract are: - The development of a validated DNA detection method for processed foodstuffs containing genetically-modified maize and soya; - The development of a quantitative DNA detection method on unprocessed genetically-modified maize and soya. The study should be completed within twelve months, with an interim report available within six months.
