In order to identify the requirements and functions of training with regard to innovation transfer procedures, the European Commission, DG XXII, have published an invitation to tender for a study. This study would pay particular regard to dynamics engendered at local level through connections between small-scale, high-technology companies, universities and research centres, and training establishments, as well as the role of external agents providing training services. In particular, the study must clarify, through the analysis of best practice, the methods through which the employment of these agents helps to develop these abilities. The study contract will be divided into four lots: - Lot 1: Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden and Iceland; - Lot 2: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and The Netherlands; - Lot 3: Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Portugal; - Lot 4: Coordination of the whole project. The study should be completed within six months.
