The European Commission, DG IA, has published a TACIS contract information brochure detailing a number of projects which are to be put out to tender under the 1998 budgets for Armenia and the Inter-state programme.

The brochure provides an outline of six projects planned for Armenia, in the fields of human resources development, enterprise restructuring and development, and energy. A total of 16 projects are planned under the Inter-state programme, in the following fields:

- Energy: INOGATE project (rehabilitation, modernisation and rationalisation of inter-state oil and gas pipelines);
- Transport: including a number of projects within the TRACECA initiative;
- Telecommunications;
- Environment;
- Human resources development;
- Food production, processing and distribution.

Contractors interested in tendering for any of these projects listed in the brochure should submit expressions of interest, before the deadlines noted in the brochure. Such organisations will then be invited to tender at the appropriate time.
