Supporting the compilation of EEA indicator reports
The European Environment Agency (EEA) is developing regular indicator-based reports to provide the Community and Member States with information on the environment. They have recently published an invitation to tender for a contract on the development of a "zero version" of the regular indicator-based report. The contract will be divided into the following lots: - Lot 1: technical and organisational assistance involving: . The preparation of working documents needed for compiling the report; . The preparation of 'indicator fact sheets'; . The coordination of the compilation process; . The organisation of a review process. - Lot 2: in-house technical assistance: - Assisting at the data/writing interface by acting as a contact person between the compilers and writers of specific sections of the report and the data providers and in the provision of data; - Providing additional data support through the analysis of national reports and performing data searches in various databases to supplement other data collection exercises. - Lot 3: sectorial expert: - Development of the sectorial assessment involving assistance in the interpretation of indicators showing developments in societal sectors and their specific environmental influences; - To contribute to the understanding of the development of environmental problems from a sectorial point of view; - To compile draft texts on the various societal sectors for the indicator-based report.
