Call for proposals for ESF Research Conferences

The European Science Foundation invites scientists to submit proposals for conferences to take place in 2010 in Europe within the framework of the ESF Research Conferences Scheme (http://www.esf.org/conferences)

Conferences in the following fields will be funded:
•Biology+: molecular biology at the interface with other disciplines
•Energy and Environment
•Mathematics (for conferences in 2009 and 2010)
•Physics/Biophysics and Environmental Sciences
•Social Sciences and Humanities

Proposals must be submitted electronically via the ESF Research Conferences website http://www.esf.org/conferences/call2008
Closing date for submissions: 15th September 2008 (midnight CET)

Scientists with successful proposals will be asked to chair the conference, with full organisational support provided by the ESF Conferences team.
