Science|Business awarded contract to facilitate EU research panel
The media network Science|Business has been selected as the winner of a tender from the European Commission's Directorate General for Research & Technology Development to facilitate and report the work of the European Research Area Board (ERAB), a new advisory body for research policy reporting to EU Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik. In December 2008, an RFP was released, inviting proposals to assist the board in its meetings, and in preparing its first annual report. After an evaluation process, Science|Business was selected. About ERAB: 22 individuals make up the European Research Area Board (ERAB). They come from the fields of science, academia and business and provide independent and authoritative advice to the European Commission on European research and science policy, and its objective is to realise a European Research Area.
