The European Commission, DG VII, has published a call for proposals for the establishment of a European platform on mobility management (EPOMM). Mobility management is primarily a demand oriented and destination based approach to freight and passenger transport that involves new partnerships and a set of tools to support and encourage changes of attitude and behaviour towards sustainable modes of transport. The aim of the platform is to promote and develop mobility management in Europe, as well as to fine-tune its implementation between the Member States of the EU, through tools such as information exchange, awareness raising, networking, training and education and the promotion of innovation. An information package is available on written request from: European Commission DG VII - Transport Unit E.2 Mr Marcel Rommerts 200 rue de la Loi (BU31 4/75) B-1049 Brussels Fax +32-2-2954349
