MINAM Micro- and Nanomanufacturing News

MINAM ASBL is growing, has appointed new managing director and contributes to major events in Europe.

MINAM ASBL approves statues, new members welcome Parallel to web-based community MINAM the MINAM ASBL was started in 2008 as its legal body. The MINAM Founders Council has agreed and approved the association’s new statute. Under the new statute a more friendly approach for membership has been designed. Organisations wishing to join MINAM will have a choice to join as Sponsoring Member, Full Member, Member and Associate Member. This choice will certainly meet the needs and objectives of the ever growing Micro- and Nanomanufaturing community. By applying to MINAM membership these stakeholders will have the opportunity to influence the next steps in building Europe's future, providing networking and clustering facilities, as well as policy insight. MINAM members will also have the opportunity to be an active part of the NANOfutures initiative, presently discussed with the European Commission with a view to establishing an integrating multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral, cross-ETP European initiative with the objective to lower the barriers to commercialization and a sustainable development involving innovative nanotechnologies. Since 1995, Thomas Zadrozny has taken on numerous expert and advisory roles in his capacity as Scientific Director and Managing Director of his company, Pro-Active Ltd. Currently he manages an information and communication project of the European Commission’s DG Research. His knowledge and expertise have been called upon by various European Commission services. In 1999 he graduated with a Doctoral degree in Political Theory and the Philosophy of Law. This was followed in quick succession by a Doctoral degree in the Philosophy of Sciences, Ethics and Biotechnology. Events where MINAM NANOfutures workshops are planned Nanotech Europe 2009: 28th to 30th September - Berlin, Germany. Nanotech Europe is an event for nanotechnology professionals, with an interest in research or taking that research to market.
