The European Commission is inviting European companies with innovative technologies to show them off at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, USA, in May next year. The main purpose of the activity is to show off technologies and techniques developed under the THERMIE programme run by the European Commission. It will be an opportunity for small companies to exhibit their innovative technologies at a show that might otherwise be too expensive for them to participate in. Companies that would like to participate on the EU stand at the conference have to be from Member States and have an innovative technology or technique, which has yet to have a major breakthrough into the oil and gas market. Participation will be free of charge and companies will be able to claim up to 1,000 euros for any freight charges they incur. However, companies have to pay for their travel and accommodation.
