New website launched by the JRC- Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP)

The site http://ihcp.jrc.ec.europa.eu provides you with updated information on the IHCP policy support in the following areas: Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO); Nanotechnology; Consumer Products and Nutrition; Health and Environment; Alternative Methods to Animal Testing.

The mission of the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) is to protect the interests and health of the consumer in the framework of EU legislation on chemicals, food, and consumer products by providing scientific and technical support, including risk-benefit assessment and analysis of traceability.

This new website presents clear background information targeted to the general public, associated to daily-updated news (highlights, events, workshops, publications, reports, calls etc).

A dynamic, drillable-down site map allows browsing by area and by topic, associated to IHCP assets (laboratories, databases).
