New website for researcher seeking new employment opportunities in the Basque Country
Ikerbasque has started an Internet site for research personnel from all over the world who choose the Basque Country to pursue their professional careers. This new initiative has arisen to contribute to Ikerbasque’s objective of attracting, retaining and consolidating scientific talent in the research institutions of the Basque science system, comprising the universities and research centers of the Basque Country. The www.sciencecareers.eu site is a response to the interest and demand of researchers in our region, who needed to have a centralized site collecting all the employment offers in research to provide better visibility and increased international impact. ScienceCareers is created to help researchers, as well as research institutions. The researchers will have a single site, where they can access all the professional opportunities offered by the Basque science and technology system, including the alert service that will inform the subscribers of the new vacancies; and the universities, and technological and research centers in the Basque Country will be provided with a site lending improved visibility to their employment offers. This aspect is essential for scientific research, which is a very internationalized and competitive field.
