ECOMAC launches website
The European Commission 's project on Eco-management accounting as a tool of environmental management (ECOMAC) now has a website linked to the EC's DGXII Web-site at: URL: http://europa.eu.int/comm/dg12/envsc/human-pr.html(opens in new window) The ECOMAC project covers the generation, analysis and use of financial information in order to integrate corporate environmental and economic policies and build sustainable businesses (eco-management accounting). The ECOMAC project has explored the development of eco-management accounting in the European Union, particularly in Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The ECOMAC website presents a synthesis of the project, including how the problem was first perceived, what the project has accomplished, and the implications the project conclusions have for businesses, professionals, and policy-makers.
