The European Environment Agency (EEA) is seeking assistance with local area networks through an open call for tenders. The contract is to expand, upgrade, and maintain the EEA's local area network that forms the physical basis of the EEA's computing infrastructure. The contractor will provide the EEA with all the necessary equipment and maintenance. Immediate work entails expanding the current LAN to an additional floor, upgrading the current hubs to a fully switched faster network, and providing maintenance services to the equipment.

The contractor will also have to provide the EEA with basic technical assistance in maintaining and operating the network and computers.

The contract is for three years, with two possible extensions of one year each.
