Towards the digital agenda for Europe: a book on Romanian contribution in field of architecture, landscape architecture and urbanism
NeDiMAH stands for Network for Digital methods in Arts and Humanities, a European Science Foundation Research Networking Programme. The network ran for 4 years, from 2011 to 2015, and Romania joined in 2012, being represented by the main editor of the book, affiliated to the University of Architecture and Urbanism. This made for a unique contribution in the field of arts among the other mostly humanities-centred participants, an idea underlined by this book. The main point of the book was the events organised in Romania or with Romanian participation, but international experts were also invited as authors or editors to learn about the future of digital methods in Romania. Thus authors are from Romania, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Sri Lanka. Future directions include application of the methods, for example for museums, and creation of spin-offs. Recent experience included the postdoc of the first editor on the topic of digital means for analysis and representation of hazard impact, which applies the knowledge gained at NeDiMAH. One of the highlights is the strong collaboration enabled by both the network and the postdoctoral programme for cooperation with the Alma Mater of the first editor, which this year celebrates 300 years of funding. The title of the book is 'Space and Time Visualisation'.
