CIRCLE-2 JI on Climate Uncertainties: REQUEST FOR PARTICIPATION

Sourcing for case-studies dealing with uncertainties in climate and climate change adaptation

The CIRCLE-2 Joint Initiative (JI) on Climate Uncertainties is dedicated to the issue of dealing with and communicating uncertainties in climate change and climate adaptation. One of the main goals of this initiative is to develop and publish advances in the form of a final publication. This publication intends to serve as a ‘Guide’ to uncertainty in adaptation decision-making (including policy-making) that is able to provide practical case-study examples where dealing with uncertainties was successfully accounted for (or identified but failed). With this in mind we are circulating a reporting template and inviting institutions and organizations around the world to submit their case-studies revealing their experience in these issues. Be you such an institution or not, we welcome you to also circulate and share this request among your networks so that we may receive a wide variety of experiences. Please keep in mind that the deadline for the submission of mandatory questions is February 29th 2012. More information on this initiative can be found at: http://www.circle-era.eu/np4/P_UNCERT.html(opens in new window) The template can also be directly downloaded at: http://www.circle-era.eu/np4/%7B$clientServletPath%7D/?newsId=366&fileName=CIRCLE2_JI_UNCERT_DiscussionPAPER_02_TEM.pdf(opens in new window) For more information please send an e-mail to: acrovisco@fc.ul.pt We thank you in advance for your time! Best regards, Ana Rovisco
