ENGAGE project launches a new survey on Public Sector Information (PSI)

Are you a (potential) user of Public Sector data? Are you a researcher, a policy maker, a journalist or an active citizen? The ENGAGE project is openly calling for participation in a new survey that intends to collect experiences and needs towards using open governmental data. What is ENGAGE project about?
The ENGAGE-project aims to create an e-infrastructure to open up public sector data to researchers and citizens. By using the e-infrastructure, researchers will be able to submit, acquire, search and visualize diverse and distributed public sector datasets from all the countries of the European Union. The ENGAGE project is funded under the European Commission FP7 Programme (http://engage-project.eu).

Why do we request your participation?
At this moment, the deposition, access and use of open public sector data is often cumbersome and should be improved. The purpose of this survey is therefore to find out what are the needs regarding to the use of public sector data, such as deposit, access and use needs. The results of this survey will be used to develop and further specify the requirements of the ENGAGE e-infrastructure for open data.
