Commission announces calls for Human Potential

The European Commission has announced eight calls for proposals under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration (RTD) activities for the period 1998 to 2002. The calls invite proposals for indirect RTD actions under the specific programme for research, technological development and demonstration relating to "Improving the Human Research Potential and the Socio-Economic Knowledge Base". The call texts, together with all the documentation necessary to make a proposal, are accessible from: URL: http://cordis.europa.eu/improving(opens in new window) The following parts of the specific programme are opened by the eight calls on 16 March 1996: - Research Training Networks; - Marie Curie Individual and Experienced Researcher Fellowships; - Marie Curie Industry Host Fellowships; - Access to Research Infrastructures; - Socio-Economic Research; - Science and Technology Policies - Strategic Analysis; - High-Level Scientific Conferences; - Raising Public Awareness of Science & Technology. The calls relate to proposals with a fixed deadline, following which evaluation will take place. Only proposals submitted before this deadline will be considered under the call notice. The latest deadlines for submission of proposals for these calls are as follows: - Research Training Networks: 2 June 1999; - Marie Curie Individual and Experienced Researcher Fellowships: 13 March 2002 (NB. This call is subdivided with some areas of the call closing earlier than others. The date given here is the last possible date to submit proposals under this call.); - Marie Curie Industry Host Fellowships: 16 June 1999; - Access to Research Infrastructures; 4 May 1999; - Socio-Economic Research: 2 June 1999; - Science and Technology Policies - Strategic Analysis: 2 June 1999.
