How to increase the innovative ICT SMEs' participation in the EU FP programmes?
This study, carried out by CRIC, IVSZ and Theia, focuses on non-participating highly innovative SMEs in the ICT sector (Information and Communication Technologies). The aim of the study is to identify the reasons why innovative ICT SMEs do not take part in Framework Programmes (FP) and to suggest ways forward for the new Framework Programme (Horizon 2020) to remedy the situation. In the first step the respondents will provide their reasons for non-participation with the help of an on-line questionnaire (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/smenonparticipationsurvey(s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)). In the second step the researchers will carry out bilateral meetings with the selected repsondents in order to better understand their situation and the reasons and in order to jointly think on future measures that could improve their sitation and motivations. In the third phase focus groups will verify the indetified recommendations that the European Commission might implement in respect of Horizon 2020. The views and experiences of the innovative ICT SMEs and ICT grouping (like associations) are essential therefore they are invited to take part in the survey. Respondents automatically take part also in a draw for an iPad!
