On March 26th, applications for the Open Call for the BLOCKCHERS project opened. SMEs across Europe that work with DLT technologies (blockchain and similar) can apply to participate in this aid program. This accelerator for SMEs will administer a € 750,000 fund in two calls to finance cases of use of blockchain technologies in traditional sectors. The selected SMEs will move to the implementation phase in which, throughout two phases, they will receive funding for their project and other free services such as infrastructure access, training courses or personalised coaching. A selected company could obtain up to € 50,000 of non-refundable financing. Any SME that works with blockchain technologies is eligible as a participant. To participate, they should only complete a simple application form. One of the main objectives of this project is to encourage collaboration between SMEs from traditional sectors and potential DLT specialists, as technology providers, and to promote knowledge about the benefits and opportunities of these technologies. The project was promoted in the Startup Olé event from March 26 to 28 in Salamanca, at booth nº 6. To address these challenges, a consortium of four organizations with specialized profiles has been created. ZABALA Innovation Consulting will coordinate this project as an expert in "cascade financing", and as providers of innovation services to SMEs and start-ups throughout the EU. Innomine is an expert company that works in cases of acceleration and use in the EEC market for digital innovation centers. Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC) is one of the most recognized institutions that provides training in DLT and organizes important events on blockchain technologies. ALASTRIA is the first blockchain network authorized in Spain and promoted by large corporations in a variety of sectors to undertake open innovation activities with SMEs and developers.
