Call for Proposals "GREEN BUILDINGS" – German High Tech Champions Award 2012

The GERMAN HIGH TECH CHAMPIONS Award powered by Fraunhofer has published the 4th Call for Proposals – this time the focus is on "Green Buildings" (Energy Supply, Energy Storage, Energy Efficiency). An expert panel will evaluate and award up to five German technology developers by the end of September. A special feature of this Call is the possibility to apply as a bi-national team to facilitate the entry into the French market.

In a nationwide GHTC competition, scientists working at German public research organizations are invited to present their applied research results in „Green Buildings“ (Energy Supply, Energy Storage, Energy Efficiency) in the form of an Application & Marketing Plan for the French market. They may apply by themselves or as a bi-national tandem with a French counterpart (‘Tandem Technologique’). An independent expert panel will evaluate the proposals and reward up to five competitors with the title German High Tech Champion 2012. The award ceremony will take place within the framework of the POLLUTEC 2012, Exhibition & Conference in Lyon, France from November 27 to 30, 2012. The Award will provide the winners with a comprehensive marketing package, help them take the implementation of their technology into their own hands, and boost their international visibility as technology developers. Included in this marketing package is a marketing workshop and prize money of € 10,000 for German "Champions" (€ 15,000 for a ‘Tandem Technologique,‘ respectively) to be spent by the winners on their presentation and/or personnel and travel expenses. The Award Ceremony will feature presentations by the Champions and an exclusive setting to network with potential industry clients. The German High Tech Champions Award is a constituent part of the collaborative project “International Research Marketing” which is a joint initiative by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. All activities within the project are part of the initiative to “Promote Innovation and Research in Germany” under its brand “Research in Germany”. The initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. 4th Call for Proposals: Green Buildings (Energy Supply, Energy Storage, Energy Efficiency) Application Deadline: 15.
