The European Commission, Directorate-General XII, has introduced a website which features projects of the Marine Science and Technology Programme (MAST-III) with their own websites at:

- EUMARSIN (European Marine Sediment Information Network);
- EUROCORE (A searchable internet database of seabed samples from the ocean basins held at European institutions);
- ADEPD (Atlantic Data Base for Exchange Processes at the Deep Sea Floor);
- ECOMARE (Ecological effects of protection in Mediterranean marine reserves);
- SPECIES (European Marine Species Register);
- DINOCAT (Demonstrator for Interoperability of Oceanographic Catalogs);
