NECTAR lists Design for All projects
A list of linked resources for "Design for All" Best Practices and other requirements has been published on the NECTAR Information Update website. This list was based on work carried out for the meetings held in December 1998 organized by the Telematics for the Disabled and Elderly sector of the Telematics Applications Programme. "Design for All" is the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. The objective of the universal design concept is to simplify life for everyone by making products, communications, and the built environment more usable by more people at little or no extra cost. It therefore targets people of all ages, sizes and abilities. The list of "Design for All" projects are available at: URL: http://www.nectar.org/update/stories/1999041301.htm(opens in new window)
