Alzheimer Europe, an organization representing people with disabilities and funded by the European Commission, now has a website which includes valuable information for people with dementia and their carers at: URL: http://www.alzheimer-europe.org It serves as a shop window for Alzheimer Europe and provides extensive information about the organization, its aims and statutes. The website has a strong European focus and is available in the 11 official languages of the European Union. It also includes essential information on Alzheimer's disease, with answers to the most frequently asked questions that people recently diagnosed with dementia and their carers tend to ask. In recognition of the diversity of needs and queries that anyone looking for information on this topic might have, Alzheimer Europe has also included links from its own web service to other relevant sites or sources of information. More information about Alzheimer Europe and its activities is available from its quarterly newsletter. The second edition of this has recently been published. It includes listings of events, information on European health policy and showcases European studies of dementia.
