Prior information on an invitation to tender for studies envisaged by the European Commission with regard to regional policy and cohesion has been published in the Official Journal. The European Commission's DG XVI for Regional policy and cohesion has recently published a call for management consultancy services within the framework of the multiannunal programming of studies. DG XVI intends to assign the following projects to external bodies: - Continual assessment of RISI (Regional Information Society Initiative) pilot projects - 100,000 euro; - Interim evaluation of 89 territorial pacts for employment - 250,000 euro; - The territorial impact of Trans-European networks (TEN) in an European Union of 15 Member States and prospect in an European Union of 26 Member States - 250,000 euro; - The impact of economic integration of regional development - 80,000 euro; - The cost of the non-coordination of sectoral Community policies - 200,000 euro; - Study on venture capital, Community aid and better practices - 30,000 euro; - Study on the transport of goods to Portugal - 250,000 euro. The intended total budget for these services is 1,160,000 euro. The estimated dates for initiating the award procedures will be spread over 1999.
