The CORDIS UK Web service, established in association with the United Kingdom's Office of Science and Technology, has recently published a mini-guide for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on what funding is expected to be available to them under the European Commission's Fifth RTD Framework Programme (FP5).

It details the different kinds of funding available to SMEs, such as shared-cost actions, cooperative research awards (CRAFT) and exploratory awards. It also gives useful information on what help is available for preparing a project proposal and finding research partners around Europe.
