On-line training with ICNA-Net
Experts are being sought by the ICNA-Net project, initiated by ICNA (International Cooperation Networking Association), to help make a virtual training centre become a reality. The first step - the creation of a Web-based training catalogue - has been completed. It is available free to ICNA members, and allows participants to promote their activities on-line. The next step is the organisation of live training sessions, the first of which will take place in Mulhouse, France, on 13 and 14 October 1999. The session will focus on three strands: Internet and law; information research on the Internet; and using Linux in small companies. ICNA plan to supplement these live training sessions with on-line classes, scheduled for early 2000. These low-cost sessions will enable participants to keep up-to-date with news and ask specific questions. To formulate these on-line sessions ICNA are appealing for experts in on-line technology, in particular the 'pedagogical peculiarities' of virtual training.
