Important achievements of the EuroRIs-Net+ project

At the end of the EuroRIs-Net+ project the main results toward the research and business communities are presented. See also http://www.euroris-net.eu/

EuroRis-Net+, the European Network of National Contact Points for the "Research Infrastructures (RIs)” programme, provides value-added services for transnational cooperation of NCPs, effective implementation and visibility of RIs programme. The Network develops observatory functions for European, national and regional infrastructures policies, programmes and initiatives. It also supports and encourages the dialogue between RIs NCPs and other stakeholders of the RI ecosystem. At the end of the EuroRIs-Net+ project the main results toward the research and business communities are as follows: - Increased number of services to the RI scientific communities, industry and public stakeholdersat at the European and international level through the well structured RI Observatory, an interactive information infrastructure, which facilitates access to integrated and updated RI-related information, from national and European sources, and boosts the dialogue between various RIs stakeholders. The knowledge under the Observatory now covers policy issues, recommendations, reports, studies, surveys, articles, National/Regional Roadmaps, Thematic Roadmaps, Research Indicators, RIs projects fact sheets, presentations, information on stakeholders/organisations involved in the RIs, funding schemes, opportunities on transnational access to Research Infrastructures, etc. The new Visualisation section provides information visualisations related to Research Infrastructures projects at project, organisation and country level. - Special awareness raising events about Research Infrastructures were organized in Czech and Polish large academic centres, where the knowledge about the opportunities for researchers to visit and work at the premises of pan-European research facilities is still not sufficient among researchers. - Excellent training activities which result in well trained network of national RIs contact points; NCPs are now much more competent in their daily work and well prepared for the coming Horizon 2020 programming period.
