New book from the PIANO Marie Curie ERG

The book "Earthquake Hazard Impact and Urban Planning" is being published by Springer.

The book "Earthquake Hazard Impact and Urban Planning" is being published by Springer. Work on the book has started during the Marie Curie European Reintegration Grant (project PIANO) of the first editor (Maria Bostenaru Dan), and features contributions from Romania and Italy, where the mobility Intra-European Fellowship (project CA'REDIVIVUS) of her took place, and where also a co-editor (Agostino Goretti) is based. One of her own chapters actually looks at Italian case studies and of the influence of mobility between Italy and Romania, as did further work of her after the reintegration grant, at the current place of employment. The book looks at the management side of natural disasters, less than on the technical side, and emphasisez herewith the role of dealing with heritage, as the aim of the project also was. The European context is being assured by further authors. It is the second edited book published at Springer as a result of the Marie Curie grants, the first one spanning the time between the Intra-European Fellowship and the European Reintegration Grant and featuring as well the European context of research in Italy mainly.
