Procedural methodological guidance
Invitations to tender for a study contract for the preparation of a methodological guide on the procedures to follow for plans or projects affecting Natura 2000 sites are now invited by the European Commission, DG XI. The successful tender should provide non-mandatory methodological guidance on how to perform assessments required under Directive 92/43/EEC, Article 6(3), and how to deal with alternatives and compensation measures provided by Article 6(4). A secondary aim is to provide practical tools for those who have to review and make decisions on documents and procedures affected by these Directives.
