The European Commission's Joint Research Centre is tendering a contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of a complete dynamic facility for the testing of emissions of diesel, petrol and alternative fuel passenger vehicles. The facility should be able to test emissions according to current EU directives and should include equipment for the analysis of non-regulated pollutants. The facility should include the following components: - Chassis dynamometer; - Driver-aid; - Dilution tunnel and particulate sampling unit; - Exhaust sampling system; - Exhaust analysis system; - Weather station; - Parameter and services unit; - Controlling system. The facility should also offer the possibility of attaching advanced instrumentation already available at the JRC in Ispra, Italy, such as for exhaust gas and particulate matter analysis. The supplier should also provide training for the JRC operators.
