CORDIS helps in FP5 contract preparations
The latest domain to be added to the CORDIS Fifth Framework Programme information service aims to help researchers who have submitted successful proposals to the Commission to understand and prepare the contract preparation process. Once a research proposal successfully passes evaluation and the Commission invites the consortium to enter into contract negotiations, a range of information is required from the project consortium and form each of its partners. The overall responsibility is on the project coordinator, but each member of the consortium and sub-contractors needs to contribute. The Contract Preparation domain provides access to the model contracts drawn up by the Commission (currently only available in draft), and a set of forms designed to obtain all the relevant information from each member of the project consortium. Other information available covers the accounting systems required to manage the cost-reimbursement systems used by the Commission. CORDIS is also developing contract preparation domains for individual specific programmes, which will offer tailored access. The FP5 Contract Preparation domain may be found on the Web, at: http://cordis.europa.eu/fp5/cont-prep.htm(opens in new window)
