A corrigendum to a call for tender to manage the TICQA database has been published on the Official Journal. The original call issued by the European Commission, DG III, in July called for the administrative, technical and operational management of a Web database on the Internet. The database would contain information on the providers of conformity assessment services, testing certification, calibration and quality assurance (TICQA) in Europe. Contractors would be required to maintain the database and provide project support activities such as identification and collection of new data, updating of existing data, management of the helpdesk activities and the promotion and marketing of the database. The call for tenders will now come under the open procedure, therefore the provision of documents by the Commission will no longer be restricted to certain applicants. The dates for requesting documents and for the receipt of tenders have also been put back. The original tender can be found in the Official Journal (OJ No S 130 of 8.7.1999 p. 32).
