An invitation to tender on the part of the European Commission (DG XIII, Information Technologies and Industries and Telecommunications) concerns the technical organization of an international conference on research and technology organizations in Europe within the framework of the SPRINT programme.

The Conference is to form one of a series of conferences and workshops aimed at the open exchange of information and experiences on selected support mechanisms in the field of innovation and technology transfer. In this case, the conference will aim to analyze and discuss the nature of development of Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs) in Europe, their changing environment and the role of public support.

The following services should be undertaken by the Conference technical organizer:

- Management on site. Contact with an appropriate conference venue in Brussels;
- Provision o a central postal address;
- Finance and control of funds;
- Accommodation arrangements;
- Catering;
- Handling and registration of participants;
- Reimbursement of invited speakers;
- Printing arrangements;
- Coordination and total responsibility of the organization and coordination of the Conference, technical follow-up plus dismantling;
- Optional interpreters (cost to be quoted separately).
