French NCP launches Quality of Life website
The French National Contact Point INRA INSERM (for the Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources specific programme of the Commissions Fifth RTD Framework Programme) has recently launched a web site which includes information on how FP5 works and the services it offers to scientists, SMEs, and end-users. The website at http://sdv.pcn.prd.fr is designed to be interactive, so that users can put questions to the National Contact Points (NCPs) according to their domain of activity. Users can also complete application forms to attend FP5-related events using this service, which provides information on: - The Fifth Framework programme: giving a general presentation and details of its structure, budget, and the rules for participation; - The specific programme Quality of life and management of living resources': giving general and detailed presentations of this thematic programme, covering calls for proposals, INCO & Marie Curie fellowships, and links to Europa and CORDIS; - Putting together a proposal: how to make a good start, the structure of a proposal, writing a proposal, and managing a proposal from start to finish; - Current events: news, call for proposals, and information days; The NCP system: missions, NCPs at the French and European Level, - Library: including Commission documents, information packages, policy papers, PowerPoint presentations, and a glossary; - Links to relevant RTD web sites; - A list of mail boxes to contact NCP members.
