Strategic analysis of IRCs network - Prior information
The European Commission's Enterprise Directorate-General intends to launch a call for tenders for technical services relating to a strategic analysis of the Innovation Relay Centres (IRC) network. The aim is to provide concrete recommendations for optimising the operational modalities (including financing) of the Innovation Relay Centres network, through a strategic analysis in the following domains: - Analysis of current project objectives versus pertinence to regional needs; - Investigation of the support provided by existing technology transfer service providers; - Consultation with IRCs and with IRC clients, especially SMEs; - Analysis of IRCs' work programmes for the period 2000 to 2002; - Input from Member States' representatives on the future of the IRC network and on possible future funding options; - Identification and analysis of possible funding options and possible impact on IRC structure and operations.
