Forestry measures in agriculture
The European Commission is calling for tenders for an evaluation of the impact of an expired regulation on the Community assistance system for forestry measures in agriculture (Regulation (EEC) 2080/92) and a report drawn up in 1997 (COM(97) 630 of 28.11.1997). The evaluation, which falls within the context of the systematic evaluation of the common agricultural policy (CAP) measures, must go beyond the collection and analysis of information produced mainly by the Commission services and national administrations. It should examine the impact of afforestation measures based on evaluative questions in the tender documents, and provide argued judgements based on quantitative and qualitative data.
