Contracts for the Fifth Framework Programme
Prior information on accompanying measures for the Fifth RTD Framework Programme has now been published in the Official Journal of the European Communities by the Directorate-General for Research. Contracts will be issued during the year 2000 for framework, study, consultants and services contracts in the following areas: - Improving the quality of life and management of living resources; - Favouring competitive and lasting growth; - Protecting the ecosystem; - Asserting the international role of Community research; Innovating and integrating the SMEs; - Increasing human potential. This will involve: - Studies whereby the technical content is defined by Commission services; - Organisation by third parties on behalf of the Commission of conferences, seminars, work groups or other scientific and technical meetings; - Use of external expertise capabilities, including access to scientific databases; - Scientific publications; - All computer services; - Training activities associated with research covered by specific programmes concerned; -All advertising services.
