VIPS: Press Pack: Rapid reaction on dioxins
Following a request from the European Commission, the JRC has agreed to help Member States, and in particular the Belgian government, analyse food and foodstuffs to determine the contamination with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) - one of the precursors of dioxin.
