Socrates students are on the move
University students from 28 countries begin a tour of Europe this week to promote the 2000 to 2006 phase of the European Commission's Socrates programme. Three major European student associations will carry out the 'Socrates on the move' campaign (the national union of students in Europe, AEGEE and the Erasmus students' network). They have selected 50 students as 'ambassadors' for the EU education, training and youth programmes who will be coached as speakers from 13 to 19 March in Brussels. The Socrates II programme, for Community action in the field of education, will be officially launched alongside the new Leonardo da Vinci and Youth programmes on 17 and 18 March in Lisbon.
