Europol seeks staff for its ITC unit
Europol is seeking a first officer with its procurement group and a second officer with its user support group, to work in the Information and communication (ICT) unit. As a member of the procurement team the successful applicant will carry out a range of tasks in relation to ICT projects. Their main responsibilities will include planning and preparation for new projects; day-to-day monitoring and control of ongoing projects; liaison with suppliers and other external bodies; and preparation of technical and project related documents. The successful candidate for the position in the user support group will also have a number of responsibilities, which will include receiving and answering users' requests for help and maintaining the hardware and software ICT inventory. Europol's activities focus on drug-related crime, illicit vehicle trafficking, clandestine immigration networks, illicit trafficking in nuclear and radioactive substances, trafficking in human beings, terrorism and counterfeiting of means of payment, criminal organisations involved in and associated with money laundering. In the future, Europol's mandate may well include the exchange and analysis of intelligence in other areas of serious crime.
