Showcase of French industry and technology
Franctech is a multilingual Internet showcase of French industry and technology, now available in French, Spanish and English. German will become available during 2000. The website provides immediate access to information on French industry and technology, including distinguishing features of the industry, its key figures, innovations and technologies, international outlook, industry movers and doers, main partners and useful addresses. Some 15 major industries have been selected including: aeronautics and space, agribusiness, building and civil engineering, chemical industries, energy, electronics, environmental industries, home equipment and the art of living, mechanical engineering, luxury goods and fashion, materials, healthcare and pharmaceutics, engineering and services, information and communication technologies, and the railways and automotive industry. An area called the Cybercentre is specially devoted to the latest French innovations in new information and communication technologies. It covers the latest news and features demos of certain companies in the multimedia, software and image technology industries, together with links to their individual websites. Francetch also provides services such as pooled industry websites, cross-industry websites and Frequently Asked Questions.
