COST Resolution welcomes the Czech and Slovak Republics
The Cost Senior Officials Committee has recently adopted a Resolution (93/C 133/01 of 1.4.1993) to officially welcome the two new states, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic (formerly, the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic) to COST. Since, the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic was already a member of COST, scientists and organizations established, at present, in the two new Republics already participate in a significant number of COST concerted actions. The COST Senior Officials Committee has therefore responded positively to the requests for membership from the two new Republics. The Committee will also undertake to ensure that scientists from the two new COST states are rapidly integrated into the overall framework of COST cooperation.
