London's Natural history museum has made a call for applications for visits by high calibre researchers under the SYS-RESOURCE project of the 'access to research infrastructures' action. The project is funded by the European Commission's programme for improving human research potential and the socio-economic knowledge base, part of the Fifth Framework programme.

The museum is inviting applications for 60 days, but the visits can last up to three months. Invitations are invited from researchers from European Union Member States and associate states. Travel and living costs will be paid

There is also associate status of other institutions in this programme which include the Botanical Gardens at Kew and the Linnean Society, research at which could be included in the visit. The Natural history museum is also engaging in a similar scheme with the Danish Zoo in Copenhagen, Denmark, again in a programme funded by the Improving human potential programme.

The deadline for applications is June 23 and processing of the applications is expected to take up to 12 weeks.
