Help for SMEs
Help for European small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) getting to grips with the business requirements of e-commerce is now available from PREMISE, a project funded by the European Commission's Esprit programme - part of the Fourth Framework Programme. The project has produced a package to help SMEs understand, assess and use e-commerce. Through PREMISE, businesses can receive guidance on the basic technology associated with using e-commerce, and support to appreciate the business issues involved. Advice from other businesses on how they have tackled e-commerce is also available, as well as information on more complex issues such as trust, confidence and law. These methods have been designed to take account of the varying needs of SMEs in different business environments across Europe.
