The AGORES website is designed to be the official European Commission renewable energy information centre. Other than providing news on renewable energy sources publications, events and programmes, it is also a component of the European Commission's campaign for 'Take-off', the EU strategy to see 12% of EU energy being supplied by renewable energy sources by 2010.
