The Commission is awarding a study to prepare an analysis, synthesis and assessment of the main achievements of Community activities carried out under the Council resolutions of 1975 (OJ C 185, 14.8.1975 p.1) and 1992 (OJ C 172, 8.7.1992 p.2) on the 'technological problems of nuclear safety,' with due consideration to related research activities. The contractor will also be required: - to prepare an overview of safety philosophies and practices in EU Member States, taking account of their national specificity in terms of legal framework, type and age of operating nuclear reactors and; - to provide elements of a strategy for future activities in the frame of Council resolutions, with particular attention to the context of enlargement of the European Union.
