Assistance to the applicant countries in implementing EU environmental legislation
As part of its support to the accession process in the applicant countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Cyprus, Malta and Turkey, the European Commission is seeking contractors to help them implement EU environmental legislation. The project will follow on from one launched in 1997, which ran for three years. The core task is to continue to assess, process and present the results. Cyprus and Malta were included in the project from 1998, but Turkey will be joining in this year for the first time.
