The European Environment Agency (EEA) has announced an open call for tenders for a framework agreement to provide its public information services. The EEA is mandated to ensure that the public is properly informed about the state of the environment. One of the measures already taken to ensure compliance with this obligation is the establishment and running of an information centre at the agency premises in Copenhagen. The centre includes a reply service to deal with external requests and a library. The information centre also responds to in-house requests for information from agency staff and manages book procurements and subscriptions. In order to help streamline its information centre activities, the agency wishes to establish a framework contract with a provider experienced in establishing, developing and running public information services, including libraries.
