Analysis of the EU eco-industries, their employment and export potential
The Commission is set to award a contract for an analysis of the size of the eco-industry worldwide, their employment both in the EU and worldwide, and their potential to grow. In part, the objective is to update previous work on the employment effects of EU eco-industries exports. Tender proceedings for the study will begin in August, which should also analyse trends and examine the potential impacts of accession countries joining the EU.
