The Information Society Directorate-General is inviting tenders for a study on operational implications of local loop unbundling and the need for technical coordination. The Commission wants to conduct a review and identify operational and practical arrangements being put in place in Member States and third countries to coordinate the use of local loops and resolve technical problems. The study should produce a comprehensive technical report on incumbents' local access networks in Europe, and develop a code of practice in technical coordination and procedures regarding the practical and efficient implementation of local loop unbundling, based on best practice.
